Rudraprayag. In Kedarnath, a helicopter of a private company had to make an emergency landing just a few meters away from the helipad due to a technical glitch. There were seven people in the helicopter, including six devotees. An officer gave this information.
However, he said that the pilot and all the devotees aboard the helicopter are safe and the devotees have been given darshan of Lord Kedarnath.
According to the information given by Rudraprayag district administration, the incident took place at 7 am when the helicopter of Crystal Aviation Company took off from Shersi helipad between Guptkashi and Sonprayag. Meanwhile, as soon as information about the technical fault was received, the pilot made an emergency landing at some distance from the Kedarnath helipad.
Rudraprayag District Magistrate Saurabh Gaharwar said that due to the wisdom of the pilot, a major accident was averted. He said that after getting information about the technical fault, the pilot did not lose his patience and made an emergency landing of the helicopter safely. All the pilgrims are safe and all have been given darshan of Baba Kedarnath. The technical fault in the helicopter is being investigated.
