Email Threatens Bomb Attack on Three Bhopal Schools, Turns Out to Be a False Alarm

Bhopal: In just 21 days, a second incident of bomb threats via email targeting three schools has surfaced in Bhopal. However, after thorough investigation, the police confirmed the threats were hoaxes. The TT Nagar and Gandhinagar police have registered an FIR against the unknown sender for spreading false panic and have begun tracing the source of the email.
First Threat at St. Mary’s School
TT Nagar Police Station in-charge, Sudhir Arjariya, stated that St. Mary’s School received an email around 10:30 AM, threatening to bomb the premises at exactly 2:45 PM. As soon as the authorities were informed, a bomb squad was dispatched to the location. After an extensive search, no explosives were found, confirming it was a false alarm. The same email also mentioned a threat to Kendriya Vidyalaya, prompting another round of inspections, but nothing suspicious was discovered there either. Similarly, Poddar International School, located near Barwai in Gandhinagar, received an identical email. The school administration immediately alerted the Gandhinagar Police, who conducted a thorough search, only to find that the threat was baseless. An FIR was subsequently registered in this case as well.
Cyber Cell Investigating the Case
Following the threats received on Monday, the State Cyber Cell and Cyber Crime Police have taken charge of the investigation. Authorities are now working with the school management to track down the sender and uncover the motive behind spreading this false information.
