Bhopal: Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel has said that efforts should be made with innovation and new thinking for public participation. A lot of thinking has been going on for a long time at the international and national level for environmental balance . Climate change , global warming still remain a challenge. Today there is a need to make coordinated efforts to make every person responsible for environmental balance. Society should be sensitive towards the concern of environmental balance. The social environment should make every person , community aware and active for environmental balance. It should be engraved in the heart and mind of children and adults what should be done and what should not be done   for environmental balance and pollution control .

Governor Shri Patel said that Indore city is a living proof of the success of public awareness in the government’s programs. The achievement of being the cleanest city of the country for 7 consecutive times is not the result of the efforts of the Municipal Corporation alone. It is the result of the joint efforts of the Municipal Corporation and the citizens of Indore. The cleanliness urge of the citizens and the active public awareness towards cleanliness have made an important contribution. He mentioned the big change brought about by a small initiative of a teacher couple of a rural school in the Kutch region of Gujarat. He told that the teacher couple started planting trees in the deserted campus of the school with a new thinking. They provided plants to all the students of the school and got them planted in the campus. They told the children that when they come to school, they should bring the water used to wash vegetables at home in a box or bottle. Pour the same water in the plant planted by them. This new thinking has done the miracle of making the campus of the school in a dry area like Kutch green.

Governor Shri Patel said that people in society deposit money in banks for the financial security of their children. They do not understand that if the environment does not exist, life will not exist. Therefore, concern for environmental balance is more important than concern for financial security of the future life of children. He said that initiatives are needed to make concern for environmental balance the top concern of society. He asked the youth trained on Mission Life and climate change to share information about the work done by them.
