Eco club will be formed in all the schools of Chhattisgarh

Raipur. Under the new education policy 2020, Mission Life will also be celebrated on July 27 under the nationwide education week in all the schools of Chhattisgarh. Under this, eco clubs will be formed in schools to create awareness among children about the importance of environmental conservation.

Tree plantation will be done under Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign through Eco Club. Eco club members will be sworn in front of the community on July 27. On this day, at least 35 plants will be planted in each school and the responsibility of their care and maintenance will be given to the school children. Guidelines have been given by the School Education Department for the formation of new eco clubs for Mission Life in schools. According to the instructions issued, the school principal, principal will be the head, patron of the eco club. Post graduate teacher will be in charge of the eco club. 4-5 students from each class will be included in the eco clubs. For Mission Life, a student will be made the Eco President of the club.

Information on plantation under MissionLIFE will be uploaded on Merilife portal (https://merilife) by Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India at annaduraid@nic.in. Photos (geotags) will be shared from planting to caring for the saplings. Geotagged images of tree plantation campaign will be shared with schools through Google Tracker. Schools will be widely disseminated on social media using hashtags #Plant for Mother and #Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam.
