Raipur. In the third phase, voting is to be held on seven seats of Chhattisgarh on May 7. Regarding which the Election Commission has now started preparations. Before this, the Excise Department has decided to close the liquor shops for two days.

In view of the Lok Sabha elections, the government has declared dry day from 5th to 7th May. During this period, shops will remain closed from 5 pm on Sunday, May 5 to 5 pm on May 7. During this period, strict action will be taken against those found selling illegal liquor. In the third phase, elections will be held in Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg, Korba, Surguja, Raigarh Janjgir-Champa. During this period, foreign liquor shops and country liquor shops and FL-3 (c) and FL-4 (a) have been asked to remain closed in the districts. During the said period, the entire transaction of liquor will be banned. It has been said to strictly follow the said order. Voting will also be held in Chhattisgarh for the third phase of Lok Sabha elections. Keeping this in mind, the government has issued an order asking for closure of liquor shops 48 hours before voting i.e. from the evening of May 5 to May 7. This order has been issued in Raipur, Durg, Bilaspur, Janjgir-Champa, Korba, Raigarh and Surguja Lok Sabha constituencies. Information related to this has also been given to the collectors of all the districts falling in these Lok Sabha constituencies.
