Raipur – Today, Chairman Suryakant Rathore of Municipal Corporation Raipur directly inspected the cleaning of drain near DRM office in the area of Veerangna Avanti Bai Lodhi Ward No. 6, WRS Colony drain, Voltair Line drain, Jagriti Nagar drain, Manjhipara drain under Municipal Corporation Zone No. 2 area in presence of Ward 6 Councilor Khagpati Soni, Zone 2 Commissioner Dr. R. K. Dongre, Executive Engineer P. D. Dhrtlahare, Zone Health Officer Ravi Lavania, Deputy Engineer Sudhir Bhatt and other concerned Zone 2 officials. Chairman Suryakant Rathore inspected the cleaning of Zone 2 Commissioner Dr. R. K. Dongre has been directed to take immediate necessary action to open the raw drains that have been blocked by people living on railway land in WRS area by growing vegetables, so that the mouth of the blocked drains can be opened soon and the drain cleaning can be done in a systematic manner before the rains and the problem of water logging in the rains should not arise in the slum areas of the railway area including Jagriti Nagar, Manjhi Nagar. The Chairman has given instructions to clean the bottom of the big drains and remove the silt, so that the dirty water can flow properly from the drains during the rains and the exit remains easy.
