District and state level Olympic games will be organized in Madhya Pradesh: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that sports is an integral part of education. Development of sports and players has always been the priority of our government. The government will leave no stone unturned in their development. Their every need will be fulfilled. We will work together with sports associations by making plans, so that more and more sports talent from the state comes out for national and international games. Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Vishwas Kailash Sarang, MP Khajuraho and Vice President of MP Olympic Association Shri Vishnu Dutt Sharma, MLA and State Vice President Shri Ramesh Mendola, officials Shri Digvijay, Shri Rohini Gupta along with all other officials of the association, members and officials of the Sports Department were also present in the meeting.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the government will take steps towards organizing district level Olympic Games in coordination with district level Olympic Associations. State level Olympic Games (State Olympics) will be organized to encourage the players selected in district level Olympic Games. The Sports Department will prepare a proper action plan for this. The government will move forward in this direction only after taking suggestions from everyone. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Madhya Pradesh Olympic Association at Samatva Bhavan (Chief Minister’s residence) on Saturday.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that organizing district level and state level Olympic games will also give a golden opportunity to the rural sports talents of the state to come forward. He said that the government will make coordinated efforts for the development of sports and playgrounds of interest to the students studying in higher education, school education, tribal affairs department, medical education, technical education. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that this is a new beginning for sports and players in Madhya Pradesh. Our government will provide encouragement and necessary facilities to every player. Sports is not just physical activity, but it develops discipline, collectivism and a sense of leadership. He said that the purpose of these games is to prepare the young generation for competition at the national and international level. Players selected at the district level will get a chance to show their talent at the state level, which will bring glory to Madhya Pradesh in sports.
Sports Minister Mr. Sarang said that development of sports, players and playgrounds is very important for building a better society. Our government has worked in this field with full dedication. This work will continue at the same pace in future as well. Government will organize ‘Khelo MP’ games in collaboration with sports associations. Minister Mr. Sarang said that the Chief Minister himself has been a successful player. He understands the needs of players. This is like a gift for the sports world of the state. He also demanded from the Chief Minister to provide grant assistance to the sports associations of the state from the state government. Association officials also put forward their suggestions and demands. In the meeting, an account of the year-long work of the association, sports activities and facilities given to the players was presented. State Olympic Association Vice President Mr. Om Soni thanked everyone.
