Discussion on infrastructure works for basic facilities of citizens

Meeting of working group formed on rural and urban infrastructure to prepare Chhattisgarh Vision Document 2047

Raipur, To prepare vision document for developing Chhattisgarh, members of rural and urban infrastructure working group discussed the works of infrastructure construction in the State NITI Aayog with a view to providing basic facilities to the citizens. NITI Aayog member Dr. K Subramaniam was also present in the meeting.

In the meeting, Principal Secretary of Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Mrs. Niharika Barik presented important information for the works of increasing roads, drinking water, housing and other civic amenities. Secretary to Chief Minister and Secretary of Urban Administration and Development Department, Mr. Basavaraju. S presented important information including roads, drinking water drainage system, solid waste management sewerage water treatment in urban areas. Special Secretary of Water Resources Department, Mr. Rajesh Sukumar Toppo gave important information regarding water sources including irrigation facilities. Secretary of Public Health Engineering Department, Mr. Mohammad Qaiser Abdul Haq gave necessary information for drinking water schemes. In the meeting, the members put forward their suggestions regarding transport, housing, power, water and sanitation. In the meeting, officials of Transport, Public Works, Energy, Housing and other departments presented departmental information regarding preparation of Chhattisgarh Vision Document. Collector Raipur told about increasing civic amenities in urban and rural areas of Raipur district in the meeting.
