Did life really change? Government will do social audit of schemes like Ladli Behna

Bhopal (MP Flagship Schemes): Social audit of many important schemes like ‘Laadli Bahana’ will be done in Madhya Pradesh. Through this audit, it will be seen what impact these schemes have had on the lives of the people, what are the shortcomings and what are the good things. On this basis, a report will be prepared, which will be submitted to the government. Through this report, it will be decided what improvements are needed in the schemes or what changes need to be made. For this, the government has started preparations. This proposal will be placed before the Chief Minister, and if approved, the process of social audit will be started in collaboration with various departments. Let us tell you that in the Ladli Bahana Yojana, which was started before the 2023 assembly elections, about 1 crore 17 lakh women are being given 1250 rupees every month. About 1550 crore rupees is being spent on this scheme every month. A total budget of Rs 18,669 crore has been kept in it for the financial year 2025-26. This scheme has become so popular that the Maharashtra government has also implemented it. Before the Delhi Assembly elections, the BJP also made a similar promise to the women of Delhi.
Big schemes of MP government Many major schemes of the central and state government will be included in a department-wise manner for the social audit. These include:
– Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana
– Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
– Free Ration Distribution Scheme
– Street Vendor Scheme
– Ladli Bahana Yojana
– Ladli Laxmi Yojana
– Social Security Pension Scheme
The beneficiaries associated with these schemes will be contacted directly. This report will be prepared exactly like the CAG report, but it will not be a financial but a social audit. The main objective of the social audit is to ensure transparency and accountability in the government’s schemes. Consideration of taking help of Janseva Mitras On the basis of the data of people associated with the flagship schemes, they will be talked to door to door. For this, the government is also considering taking the services of the Chief Minister’s Janseva Mitras. There are a total of 9390 Janseva Mitras in the state, whose services have been completed last year.
Glimpse of the schemes at a glance – Ladli Laxmi Yojana 2.0 : In the year 2024-25, 2 lakh 43 thousand 396 girls have been registered. So far, a total of 12,932 crore rupees** has been spent in this scheme.
– Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana : So far 52 lakh mothers have been registered. In the financial year 2024-25, 264 crore rupees have been given to 5 lakh 75 thousand** women.
– Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana: Free ration has been given to one crore 33 lakh families. So far 32,47,304 tonnes of grain has been distributed.
