Uttarakhand: Around 1200 specialized sports volunteers will be deployed for the National Games. These volunteers will be provided by the National Federation Sports of India (NSFOI) to Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand is also planning to deploy around 2300 general volunteers from its own resources. The specialized sports volunteers will be separate from these. 30,000 People Have Already Registered The 38th National Games are scheduled to begin in Uttarakhand on January 28th. Two types of volunteers will contribute to managing various arrangements. The recruitment process for general volunteers is ongoing, and over 30,000 people have already registered to become volunteers. All volunteers will receive online training and will also take an online exam. The results of this exam will determine which volunteers will be selected.

1200 Specialized Sports Volunteers Will Be Deployed According to Prashant Arya, Additional Chief Executive Officer of the National Sports Secretariat, specialized sports volunteers will also be appointed in addition to general volunteers. These volunteers will be deployed at various locations through the National Federation Sports of India. Volunteers with a sports background typically have experience in national and international competitions. What is the Difference Between Specialized and General Volunteers? While general volunteers are typically responsible for regular arrangements like parking and guest assistance, specialized volunteers will handle responsibilities related to sporting events. According to Pratik Joshi, who is overseeing volunteer-related activities, specialized sports volunteers will receive a daily allowance of ₹1000, while general volunteers will receive ₹500 per day. Both categories of volunteers will also be trained in behavior and etiquette.
