Dehradun Residents Get Good News Elevated Road Alignment Begins Soon

Dehradun: Good News for Dehradun Residents in the New Year! The new year has brought some great news for the people of Dehradun. Soon, they won’t have to deal with traffic jams on the Haridwar bypass anymore. The alignment work for the elevated road from Aasharodi to Mohkampur is set to begin shortly. The construction of the elevated road from Aasharodi to Mohkampur is picking up pace. The first phase of this project will kick off soon, and once it’s completed, residents will no longer face the hassle of traffic jams on the Haridwar bypass. Alignment Work for the Elevated Road Coming Soon The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is also nearing completion, and Prime Minister Modi is expected to inaugurate it this month. Once it opens, travelers coming from Delhi will be able to reach Dehradun in just two and a half to three hours. However, they might still encounter traffic jams upon arrival. Even though the expressway isn’t finished yet, heavy traffic jams are already being observed on the bypass. This situation suggests that things could get worse in the future. To address this, the government has decided to expedite the elevated project from Aasharodi to Mohkampur.

A 14 km Elevated Road from Aasharodi to Mohkampur Initially, the plan was to build an elevated road only about four kilometers long from the Reshpona Bridge to Mohkampur. However, this project has now been handed over to the NHAI, and the plan is to construct a 14 km elevated road directly from Aasharodi to Mohkampur. The process for transferring forest land has already begun, and work on this project is expected to start soon.
