Dehradun Police Take Strict Action Against Traffic Violators: 271 Young People/Drivers Fined

Dehradun:   Following the instructions of the SSP Dehradun, the Dehradun police are continuing their strict crackdown on traffic rule violators. As part of a special campaign, 271 young people and vehicle drivers were fined for breaking traffic rules.The police also contacted the families of all 271 young people and counseled them, urging them to educate their children about traffic rules.

Under a new initiative launched by the SSP Dehradun, the district police are taking consistent action against traffic rule violators, especially young people. Today, on December 3, 2024, the police conducted operations in various police station areas and fined 271 young people/drivers for various offenses. These included 156 for not wearing helmets, 10 for rash driving/over speeding, 98 for general traffic violations, 2 for driving by minors, and 5 for drunk driving.

During this campaign, the police contacted the families of all 271 young people and counseled them over the phone, encouraging them to educate their children about the importance of traffic rules.
