Defence Minister Singh will perform Bhoomi Pujan of Rail Coach Manufacturing Unit in Raisen

Bhopal: Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh will lay the foundation stone of the rail coach manufacturing unit to be started in Raisen on August 10 with an investment of Rs 1800 crore. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was visited by Chairman and Managing Director of M/s BEML Limited Bangalore Shri Shantanu Roy, Director Rail and Metro Shri Rajiv Gupta, General Manager BEML Shri Chandrashekhar and ED Shri OP Singh at Samatva Bhavan in the Chief Minister’s residence on Thursday.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was informed that BEML is making necessary preparations for the foundation stone laying of a state-of-the-art rail coach factory in village Umariya of Gauharganj tehsil of Raisen district by liaising with Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, Raisen District Administration and related agencies. As a result of this unit, 1575 people will get direct and indirect employment. The process of acquisition is being done to connect the government land allotted to the unit with the railway line. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed the officials of BEML about the investments coming in various sectors in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that with the start of the rail coach manufacturing unit in Raisen district, a large number of local youth will get employment and there will be a positive change in the economy of the region. Principal Secretary Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Shri Raghvendra Kumar Singh was also present during the meeting with Chief Minister Dr. Yadav.
