Decisions taken in the executive committee meeting of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan and PM Shri Yojana under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary
Bhopal: Important decisions were taken in the meeting of the State Executive Committee of Strengthening Teaching Learning and Results for States (STARS) and PM Shri Yojana of Madhya Pradesh Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan held today in the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Jain. Officers of School Education Department, Women and Child Development Department and Finance Department were present in the meeting.
Chief Secretary Mr. Jain told the departmental officers that the decisions taken in government schemes must be completed within the time frame. He said that 100% use of the material purchased in government schools should be ensured in the interest of children. The Chief Secretary directed that in the implementation of the scheme, those buildings should be used on priority which are not being used due to some reason. The Chief Secretary said that the School Education and Women and Child Development Department should coordinate with each other and ensure better use of the available human resources. He obtained information about the current operating system of Anganwadi centers and pre-primary schools in the current system. In the meeting of the Executive Committee, the annual action plan of about Rs 5,624 crore of Madhya Pradesh Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan year 2025-26 was also approved. In the STARS project, an action plan of about Rs 269 crore was approved in the executive.
The executive also approved the work plan of Rs 274 crore under the PM Shri scheme of the School Education Department. The executive gave post facto approval for the computer system of ITC lab of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya worth Rs 8 crore 68 lakh. 201 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Residential Schools are being run in the state. In the meeting, the necessary amount was approved for upgrading the resources in 240 PM Shri schools of the third and fourth phase of PM Shri scheme. Smart class, sports equipment and furniture etc. will be arranged in these. An amount of more than Rs 8 crore was approved for purchasing music equipment in 370 PM Shri schools. The proposals approved today will be sent to the Central Government.
