Decision to provide tap connection by the corporation through tender from the corporation interest head.

Today, the Mayor in Council meeting of Municipal Corporation Raipur was held in the third floor hall of Municipal Corporation Headquarters Building Mahatma Gandhi Sadan in the presence of Mayor Ejaz Dhebar, MIC members Gyanesh Sharma, Shrikumar Menon, Nagbhushan Rao, Satnam Singh Panag, Sundarlal Jogi, Sameer Akhtar, Sahdev Vyavahar, Akash Tiwari, Jitendra Agarwal, Suresh Channawar, Mrs. Draupadi Hemant Patel, Anjani Radheshyam Vibhar, Corporation Additional Commissioner Rajendra Prasad Gupta, US Agarwal, Vinod Pandey, Deputy Commissioner Krishna Khatik, Superintending Engineer Rajesh Sharma, all zone commissioners, executive engineers, officers in charge of departments. In the MIC meeting, the subject regarding additional connections in addition to the tap connections approved under the Amrit Mission Scheme was discussed and deliberated upon. Under the second phase of Amrit Mission, water supply has been started in Raipura, Kukurbera, Bhanpuri, Purani Bhanpuri, Shankar Nagar, Telibandha, Idgahbhatha, Mathpuraina, Danganiya, Lalpur, Devendra Nagar and Baron Bazar command areas. In those command areas, beneficiaries have not taken Amrit tap connection due to unavoidable reasons. After examining the property tax and water tax payable by the beneficiaries, free tap connections will be provided to the beneficiaries paying the water tax amount by the corporation through tender from the interest head of the corporation. It has been decided to provide new tap connections to the remaining beneficiaries by charging fee as per rules.
