Raipur. As per the instructions of Mayor ajaz Dhebar, Water Works Department Chairman Satnam Singh Panag, Commissioner Abinash Mishra, the Water Works Department of Municipal Corporation Raipur is carrying out the work of supplying pure chlorine containing drinking water to all the residents of the capital continuously along with regular monitoring. After the season of special cleaning of the reservoirs of Raipur Municipal Corporation area, the work of chemically disinfecting the walls of the reservoirs, chemical spray cleaning of valves and cleaning the seal in the reservoirs has been started. Today, the Municipal Corporation Water Works Department sent a special team of workers to the high level reservoir of 3200 kiloliter capacity located in DD Nagar area of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Ward under Municipal Corporation Zone Number 5 and chemically disinfected the walls of the reservoir and chemically cleaned the valves. A special cleaning campaign by cleaning the seal of the reservoir including spray cleaning has been started and completed after regular water supply in the morning. Daily special cleaning of a reservoir will be completed by chemically disinfecting its walls, cleaning the valves with chemical spray, cleaning the seal of the reservoir and starting after regular morning water supply from the concerned reservoir. A special cleaning campaign to clean the seal of the reservoir by chemically disinfecting the walls of all 43 reservoirs of Raipur Municipal Corporation area and cleaning the valves with chemical spray is being organized by the Municipal Corporation Water Works Department by sending a special team of laborers in a systematic manner till 15 February 2024. Instructions have been given to ensure completion.
