Raipur. Superintendent of Police Prashant Aggarwal has given necessary guidelines to all the police gazetted officers of Raipur Police, station in-charges including the in-charge anti-crime and cyber units, to detect and effectively curb the black drug trade and to take action against them. On which all the police gazetted officers, station in-charges and the team of anti-crime and cyber units are collecting information regarding drug dealers by employing informers, patrolling and collecting information.

In the same sequence, on 31.01.2024, the team of Narcotics Cell formed under Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit received information that a person was keeping ganja with him near Anand Chowk, Sankara under Dharsiwa police station area. On which Additional Superintendent of Police City Lakhan Patle, Additional Superintendent of Police Crime Pitambar Singh Patel, Deputy Superintendent of Police Crime Dinesh Sinha and City Superintendent of Police Urla Avinash Mishra, in-charge Anti Crime and Cyber Unit, police station in-charge Dharsiwa and outpost in-charge Siltara, arrested the accused for possession of ganja. Was directed to get caught red handed. On which the joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Police Station Dharsiwa outpost Siltara went to the said place, traced the person of the description described by the informer, identified him and arrested him. During interrogation, the person revealed his name to be Ravi Saitode resident of Sankara Raipur. When the team members searched his house, it was found that ganja was kept in the rooftop water tank of the house.

On which the accused Ravi Saitode was arrested and 11 kg of ganja worth approximately Rs 1,10,000 was seized from his possession and action was taken against the accused by registering crime number 53/2024 under Section 20B Narcotic Act in Dharsaniva police station.
