Country’s leading AI data center will soon be established in Raipur – ESDS will invest Rs 600 crore

Raipur 26 May 2025: Chhattisgarh is going to take a big step in the digital landscape of the country. Technology company ESDS Software Solution Ltd has presented a proposal of investment of more than Rs 600 crore to set up a state-of-the-art artificial intelligence based data center in Raipur to Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai. During the meeting with the Chief Minister at Chhattisgarh Sadan in New Delhi, the company’s chairman Piyush Somani and vice-president Lokesh Sharma said that this center will accelerate the digital future of not only Chhattisgarh but the whole of India. Through this proposal, concrete steps will be taken towards making Chhattisgarh a leading state in the field of AI, cloud technology, cyber security and digital storage. Welcoming the proposal, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said, “This investment will prove to be a milestone in bringing the spirit of Digital India to the ground in Chhattisgarh. The government will provide all possible assistance so that this project takes shape as soon as possible.” This initiative of ESDS will make Chhattisgarh a technology hub as well as create new opportunities for high-level employment for the youth. This center will strengthen the IT ecosystem of the state and will be a big step towards digital self-reliance. On this occasion, Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Singh and Investment Commissioner of Chhattisgarh in New Delhi Ritu Sen were also present.
