Corporation’s action from Santoshi Nagar to Pachpedinaaka: 30 illegal shops demolished, drainage improved by cleaning drains
Raipur – Today, on the instructions of Raipur Municipal Corporation Mayor Meenal Chaubey, Zone 6 Zone Chairman Badri Prasad Gupta, Commissioner Vishwadeep, the cleaning campaign was carried out under the joint campaign of Municipal Corporation Zone 6’s Urban Investment Department and Health Department by removing the obstruction of cleaning the drain before the rains. During the campaign, Municipal Corporation Zone 6 Zone Commissioner Hitendra Yadav, Executive Engineer Atul Chopra, Deputy Engineer Himanshu Chandrakar, Rahul Tharani, Zone Health Officer Adivya Hazari and other related Zone 6 officials were present on the spot. In the area of Nagar Nigam Zone 6, more than 30 large illegal embankments that were made by encroaching the drain from Santoshi Nagar Chowk to Pachpedinaaka Chowk Marble Line were removed by running a campaign from one end to the other and the obstacles in the cleaning of the drain were broken with the help of JCB machine. And with the help of JCB machine, the main road’s big drain was freed from the encroachment of illegal embankments by removing the load from the bottom and cleaning the big drain from Santoshi Nagar Chowk to Pachpedinaaka Chowk Marble Line before the rains. By removing a huge amount of dirt and garbage from the drain, the Zone 6 Health Department team immediately got the garbage transported and in the public interest, in the view of public health safety, the drainage of the big drain of the main road was made easy before the rains. Due to the illegal embankments made on the big drain, there were obstacles in cleaning the big drain of the main road, which were removed by removing the obstacles, breaking the embankments and cleaning them, making the drainage of dirty water easy.
