Complete the construction of roads within the time limit: Public Works Minister Mr. Singh

Bhopal: Public Works Minister Mr. Rakesh Singh has said that the construction of roads should be completed within the time limit. Delay in construction work is not appropriate. He said that the officers should make the time extension rules strict. Public Works Minister Mr. Singh was addressing the departmental review meeting of Indore division in Indore on Sunday.

Minister Shri Singh expressed displeasure over the delay in construction works and directed to set time limits and make time extension rules strict. He asked the contractors and officials to complete all the works within the stipulated time.

In the meeting, Minister Mr. Singh told all the officers that public works mean public welfare and engineers are an important component in society. No infrastructure, big or small, is possible without the role of engineers. Engineers are an important unit of society. On the instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, construction work is going on all over the state, due to which the wind of progress and development is blowing in the state. All officers should bring quality in their work, complete the work within the stipulated time limit. Engineers should go to the site and do physical monitoring and contractors should also do their work with full honesty and transparency. Bring progress in all construction works in view of the upcoming Simhastha. Mr. Singh said that strict action will be taken against the officer or contractor who will not do quality work on time and those officers who do good work on time will also be rewarded and honored. Public representatives and departmental officers also gave their important suggestions in the meeting.

Public Works Minister Mr. Singh inaugurated the construction work of 6 lane flyover bridge at Musakhedi crossing, Crystal IT. 6 lane flyover bridge construction work at Park crossing, 6 lane flyover bridge construction at Satyasai crossing, 6 lane flyover bridge construction at Dewas Naka crossing, construction of new over-bridge at Banganga, additional 169 PG beds in Mahatma Gandhi Smriti Medical College. Upgradation work for seat, construction of Center of Excellence building in Mental Hospital premises Banganga, construction of elevated corridor at Navlakha crossing, construction of new railway over bridge on Sanwer road, construction of access road to Sant Singhaji temple complex in Mandhata area of ​​Khandwa district, construction of new three-arm railway over bridge in Teen Puliya area of ​​Khandwa district, construction of remaining part of high level bridge on Narmada river near Bengali Ashram of Omkareshwar, Indore-Ujjain 6 lane road, CM Rise Government Model Higher Secondary School in Sondwa, Government Excellent Higher Secondary School in Meghnagar of Jhabua district, construction of Higher Secondary School building under CM Rise Yojana in Dhulkot of Khargone district, CM Rise School construction in Chhaigaon Makhan of Khandwa district, information was taken about the progress report of 37 construction works and its detailed review was done. In view of the traffic jam on the service road of the 6 lane flyover at Musakhedi intersection, he also gave instructions to widen it and fill the potholes within a week.

Minister Shri Singh gave strict instructions on the delay in the construction of railway overbridge being built on LC-55 urban route of Indore-Dewas rail section and asked to complete it within the stipulated time frame by coordinating with the railways. Similarly, instructions were given to complete the construction of Mangalia railway overbridge on Sanwer Road main district road on time and review it after three months. Instructions were given to complete the construction work of six lane flyover at Crystal IT Park intersection of Indore within the stipulated time frame. Apart from this, instructions were given to mandatorily complete the construction work of 169 additional PG seats in Mahatma Gandhi Smriti Medical College, Indore by December 2025.

Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat expressed displeasure over the slow construction of railway overbridge on Sanwer Road main district road in Indore-Ujjain rail section, on which Minister Shri Singh gave strict instructions to the contractor to speed up the work. MP Shri Shankar Lalwani demanded to convert Indore-Depalpur road into 4 lanes. Also, suggested to extend Ingoria-Ujjain road from Pithampur to Nagda. He expressed the need to complete the 6 lane widening work of Indore-Ujjain road before time keeping in mind the requirement of Simhastha fair. Regarding the 6 lane flyover at Dewas Naka intersection, Shri Lalwani said that the landing on MR-2 road should be done properly and provision of junction should be made. Shri Shankar Lalwani and MLA Shri Madhu Verma demanded to make Indore-Nemawar road 4 lane, as more than 1000 vehicles ply on this road daily, due to which accidents are happening. The DPR (Detailed Project Report) of this road has been prepared, and it was suggested to develop it on toll model.

Baghel (Building), Chief Engineer Mr. Anil Srivastava (Building Development Corporation), Chief Engineer Mr. C.S. Kharat, Mr. R.K. Jain (Road Development Corporation), Mr. G.P. Verma, Mr. V.P. Bourasi, Mr. Avinash Shivriya (Executive Engineer, Public Works Department), Executive Engineer Mr. S.N. Soni and other departmental officers were present in the meeting.
