Committed efforts with Karmayogi spirit and emotions are the need of the hour: Governor Shri Patel

Bhopal: Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel has said that under the leadership of our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country has reached such a stage in history from where it is clearly visible that the 21st century will be India’s century. Committed efforts for a developed India with Karmayogi spirit and emotions are the need of the hour. Karmayog is the way to move forward for a higher purpose in daily life, which is an effective means of social reform and service along with personal progress.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Madhya Pradesh is moving ahead with commitment on the path of resolution of national policy. Our various languages, dialects, emotions and mute emotions are the ornaments of our culture, which we are proud of. Students studying other languages ​​like Tamil, Telugu etc. will be encouraged in the state. He said that a committee will be formed by including national experts for Mission Karmayogi in the state.

Governor Shri Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said these things today at the inaugural function of the workshop organized in the Sandipani Auditorium of Raj Bhavan. The workshop was organized by Raj Bhavan Madhya Pradesh in collaboration with Higher Education Department, Private University Regulatory Commission and United Consciousness.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was welcomed by Additional Chief Secretary to Governor Shri K.C. Gupta and Additional Chief Secretary Shri Anupam Rajan with a uttariya dress prepared by traditional weavers of Chhindwara and a flower bouquet. Vice Chancellor Jawaharlal Nehru University Professor Shantishree Dhulipuri Pandit, Chairman of Madhya Pradesh Private University Regulatory Commission Shri Bharat Sharan Singh, Director of Madhya Pradesh Hindi Granth Academy Shri Ashok Kadel, Commissioner Higher Education Shri Nishant Barbade were also present on the stage in the workshop.

Make the Karmayogi work culture strong

Governor Shri Patel said that today our country has made unprecedented progress in all fields of knowledge, science, economy. India has a new identity and credibility in the world. Our country is at such a turning point from where a new chapter of nation development can be written with united and unanimous efforts. He said that 4-5 decades ago, similar turning points had come in today’s developed nations as well. The face of the nation was changed by the dutiful and dedicated efforts of the citizens. Governor Shri Patel said that for building a developed India, it is the responsibility of the teachers to create Karmayogis, the future generation. He said that to become a Karmayogi in today’s world, whatever be the nature of work, one has to work continuously without worrying about the desire for personal gain, results, success and failure. Governor Shri Patel said that in the beginning, the practitioner of the path of Karmayog may have to face the challenges of worry about results, expectations of society, beliefs and lack of time in the busyness of daily life etc. All these challenges are overcome with a positive attitude and regular spiritual practice of time management and duty discharge, meditation, sadhana and contemplation. Governor Shri Patel has expected the heads of pilgrimage centers of education to encourage teaching, research work on the principles of Karmayog as well as voluntary service activities within and outside the university. Strengthen compassion, sympathy and mutual cooperation within the academic community by inculcating a culture of work with stability in personal-professional life. Work to create an inspiring environment for the practice of Karmayog. He has expressed hope that the contemplation of the workshop will illuminate the ideological and practical dimensions of Karmayog. It will become a platform for the creation of selfless duty-abiding Karmayogis.

Initiative for the revival of Karmavada in the workshop: Dr. Mohan Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the organization of Karmayogi workshop is wonderful. The spirit and sentiment of the program is unprecedented. It is a matter of good fortune that the revival of the Karmavad of Karmayogi, educated from the land of the state 5 thousand years ago, is happening from the state itself. He said that our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is the literal embodiment of the Karmayogi Rishi tradition. Mission Karmayogi is an effort to take all the experiments of good governance to the last link based on the sentiments of the Prime Minister. Karmayog is to work continuously for the welfare of the people, free from ego, without any selfish motive. He said that the vastness of Indian culture is amazing, which listens to even exaggerated things. It moves forward with the right, good things with goodwill. That is why today the world is getting inspiration from Indian philosophy. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the scope of Indian culture is unlimited, in which there is a contemplation of the welfare of the entire universe. Centers of knowledge like Takshashila, Nalanda and Vikramshila University of India used to work for the entire humanity. India has never attacked other countries.

Thinking about Karmayoga and working continuously to fulfil the goal: Minister Shri Parmar

Higher Education Minister Shri Inder Singh Parmar said that Karmayogi Bane Workshop is a far-reaching initiative. The contemplation of the workshop will become a medium of radical change in the world of education. He said that the contemplation of Karmayog is to keep working continuously for the fulfillment of the goal. Mere compliance with time and traditions is not enough for the life of the nation. He said that the best performance of duties is necessary to achieve the goal of developed India.

Let us move from thinking about rules to worrying about roles: Bala Subramaniam

Professor Bala Subramaniam, member of Human Resource Capacity Building Commission, Mission Karmayogi, said that Team India is necessary for New India. For Team India, employees will have to be made Karmayogis. It is important that employees are prepared for the future of developed India. For this, their capacity will have to be increased through life lessons. For capacity enhancement, one will have to move from contemplation of rules to concern about the role. For this, four resolutions of resolve for development, feeling of pride towards our traditions, expectation of rights, emphasis on duties are necessary. Self-study, dedication and committed adherence to one’s own religion are necessary. Appreciating the efforts being made in this direction in Madhya Pradesh, he said that Mission Karmayogi started at the national level in 2021. In the year 2022, the state was the first state in the country to take this initiative. Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country to make a training policy before the national level. In the field of higher education, Madhya Pradesh has also done the first experiment in the form of a workshop in this direction. He has talked about the cooperation of the Commission in the efforts of the state government.

Teachers have to become Gurus: Professor K. Radhakrishnan

Padmashri K. Radhakrishnan, Chairman, Board of Governors, IIT Kanpur said that for a developed India, teachers will have to become Gurus. The 700 verses of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita begin with Dharma and end with Mam. Shrimad Bhagavad Gita shows the path of Dharma collectively and individually and tells that the Karma of the time is the Dharma of the person. That is why it is eternal and relevant. He said that Karmayoga is to make equal efforts and renounce attachments with equal feelings in all situations. He said that the moral values ​​of the best people have been described in Chapter 16 of Bhagavad Gita. Teachers will have to become Gurus by awakening these moral values ​​lying dormant in the youth.

Initiative to address challenges and solutions of Karmayogi education: Vikrant Singh Tomar

While giving information about the workshop, Global Convenor of United Consciousness, Shri Vikrant Singh Tomar said that eminent names from the world of education from 78 universities have participated in the workshop. He said that more than 11 thousand 7 hundred teachers and students reflected on the challenges and solutions for creating an environment of Karmayogi education in Madhya Pradesh. They have identified 450 challenges and solutions. The major 11 challenges and solutions will be discussed by the educationists in the workshop.

The workshop participants included Vice Chancellors, Vice Chancellors, Registrars, Principals PM Excellence and Autonomous Colleges of government and private universities of the state.
