Commissioner Plants a Tree Under 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' Campaign at Raipur Municipal Corporation Headquarters
Raipur. Today, Commissioner of Raipur Municipal Corporation, Mr. Abinash Mishra, planted a tree in the name of his mother on the premises of the Mahatma Gandhi Sadan, the headquarters of the Municipal Corporation. This initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for environmental conservation. Under the leadership of Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai and the guidance of Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Urban Administration and Development Mr. Arun Sao, the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign is being actively promoted across the state.
At the Municipal Corporation headquarters, Commissioner Mr. Abinash Mishra planted a tree in the name of his mother. By planting the sapling, the Commissioner, along with Additional Commissioner Mr. Umashankar Agrawal, Mr. Vinod Pandey, Executive Engineer Mr. Pradeep Yadav,(Horticulture Department In-Charge Officer), Town planning officer Mr. Nishikant Verma, Assistant Engineer Mr. Sohan Gupta and other Municipal Corporation officials, took a pledge to ensure the protection and care of the planted sapling. This act promotes environmental conservation and sends a positive message about safeguarding our environment. The sapling was planted with the protection of a beautiful tree guard.
The Commissioner, on behalf of the Municipal Corporation’s Environment Department, called upon all city residents to participate in the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign by planting as many saplings as possible in the capital city’s municipal area and taking a pledge to care for each planted sapling.
