Commissioner gave instructions to survey 1.5 lakh properties in 15 days
Raipur – Today, Raipur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abinash Mishra held a review meeting of Municipal Corporation Revenue Department and Municipal Investment Department with Additional Commissioner Rajendra Prasad Gupta, Deputy Commissioner Vivekanand Dubey, Zone Commissioners, Assistant Revenue Officers, all officers and employees of Municipal Investment Department and NULM team. In the review meeting, Commissioner Abinash Mishra has directed to survey 1.5 lakh properties obtained from land records in 15 days and include them in property tax. At present, out of about 25 thousand vacant plots, revenue is being collected in only 4 thousand plots. Due to non-registration of name, address etc. in the remaining properties, the demand bill is not being delivered to the property holder. In view of this, a letter was sent to the Land Records Department to provide the record of the plots, after which it has been directed to prepare the demand of the data obtained from the land records. Also, the Corporation Commissioner has directed the women of SHG (Self Help Groups) to distribute demand bills door to door and to take mobile numbers from the property holders. At present, demand bills are not being sent through WhatsApp chatbot due to the mobile numbers of about one and a half lakh properties not being registered in the online system. In view of this, instructions have been given to take mobile numbers from all such properties and distribute demand bills door to door. The Urban Investment Department has also been instructed to resign from all illegal buildings and additional buildings constructed against the building permit.
