The Zone 6 Town Planning Department fined 5 major firms ₹105,000 and the Zone Health Department fined 8 institutions ₹21,500 for spreading garbage.

Raipur – Today, in accordance with the orders of Raipur District Collector Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mr. Abinash Mishra, to provide easy access on the main roads for the public, personally walked from Siddharth Chowk Tikrapara to Pachpedi Naka Chowk to get firsthand information about the situation. The inspection was conducted with the presence of Additional Commissioners Mr. Rajendra Prasad Gupta, Mr. U.S. Agrawal, Superintend Engineer Mr. Rajesh Sharma, Health Officer Dr. Tripti Panigrahi, Zone 6 Commissioner Mr. Ramesh Jaiswal, Executive Engineers Mr. Atul Chopra, Mr. Rajesh Rathore, Mr. Sanjay Verma, Assistant Engineer Mr. Nitish Jha, Zone Health Officer Mr. Sanjeev Sharma, Sub Engineer Mr. Himanshu Chandrakar, along with other officials from the Town Planning, Health and Public Works Departments of Zone 6.

Commissioner Mr. Abinash Mishra instructed the immediate removal of all encroachments along the road from Siddharth Chowk Tikrapara to Pachpedi Naka Chowk in collaboration with the traffic police. He directed the conduct of campaigns to clear various major roads within the municipal corporation area, including the service lanes of the ring road, by seizing and removing abandoned vehicles, illegal carts and kiosks and penalizing institutions misusing parking rules by sealing the parking spaces. Additionally, he ordered the seizure of building materials kept in front of under-construction buildings and the collection of road obstruction fees, the penalization of institutions and individuals spreading garbage and encroaching on drains and the continuous campaign to ensure easy access for the public and maintain cleanliness on the city’s roads.

As per Commissioner Mr. Abinash Mishra’s instructions, Zone 6 Commissioner Mr. Ramesh Jaiswal’s directive led to the Town Planning Department of Zone 6 penalizing five major firms for road obstruction fees. Sanjay Goyal was fined ₹10,000, Arsan Auto ₹20,000, Shri Bafna Motors ₹30,000, S.K. Traders ₹5,000 and Allen Coaching ₹40,000, totaling ₹105,000.

Similarly, the Zone 6 Health Department team penalized eight establishments for spreading garbage and issued warnings for the future. Subhash Verma, operator of an illegal dairy in a residential area, was fined ₹5,000, tiles shop operator Anil Rai ₹5,000, hotel operator Dhanraj Sahu ₹2,000, Sahu Radiate Hotel ₹500, Lakshmi Narayan Shop ₹1,500, plywood shop operator Kolkar Ply ₹500, shop operator Sunil Sahu in Pachpedi Naka Marble Line ₹2,000 and Jain Marbles shop operator ₹5,000, totaling ₹21,500 as per the orders of the Municipal Corporation Commissioner and the directive of Zone 6 Commissioner.
