College building will be built in Khalwa: Minister Dr. Shah
Bhopal. Tribal Affairs, Public Asset Management and Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah held a meeting of officials of Harsud Assembly constituency in Khalwa of Khandwa district on Saturday. In the meeting, he discussed the roadmap of development works to be done in the next 4 years. Minister Dr. Shah said that a 50-seater hostel and a college building will be built near Kanya Shiksha Parisar Khalwa at a cost of about Rs 12 crore. Arts, Commerce and Science classes will be conducted in this college.
Tribal Affairs Minister Dr. Shah said that about 500 girl students are studying in Khedi Shiksha Parisar. Roti maker machines will be given at a cost of about Rs 5 lakh to prepare food for these girl students. He said that all such hostels of Tribal Affairs Department where there are more than 200 students, roti maker machines will also be given there. CCTV cameras will also be installed in all the hostels for the safety of the students. Once a week, students will be allowed to talk to their family members over phone.
Tribal Affairs Minister Dr. Shah said that the failed students studying in the department’s hostels and ashram schools will now be given another chance by giving them re-admission. The students who are coming here from other districts to study, their studies will be arranged in their home district itself, so that they can study while staying with their family. Mahila Mandal coordinators are being appointed at the divisional level, who will inspect the hostels/ashram schools and take information about the arrangements there. These Mahila Mandal coordinators will understand the mood of the students and will convey the information about the inconveniences they are facing to the senior officers. This will help in better solution of the difficulties of the students.
Minister Dr. Shah said that the vacant posts of teachers in the special residential institutions run by the department will be filled soon. Such youths of tribal class, who want to join the police or want to become lawyers, will be given training in Khandwa district headquarters. He told that the tribal students are given rent money for studying by renting a house under the Housing Assistance Scheme. Those studying in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior and Ujjain are given Rs. 2000 as house rent, Rs. 1250 for district headquarters and Rs. 1000 per month for block headquarters.

Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan is being run in Khandwa district on the theme of “Swabhaav Swachhata-Sankalp Swachhata”. Minister Dr. Shah administered the oath of cleanliness to students and officers-employees in Kanya Shiksha Parisar Khalwa. He planted saplings in Kanya Parisar under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, gave certificates to Swachhata Grahis and also honored Safai Mitras with garlands.
