CM Dhami in strict action regarding Kanwar Yatra, reviewed the arrangements, focus on cleanliness and security

Haridwar Kumbh Mela 2025: CM Dhami’s Inspection and Key Directives-This year’s Kumbh Mela is expected to draw a massive crowd, and preparations are in full swing. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami recently visited Haridwar to oversee arrangements.
A Grand Welcome and High-Level Meeting-CM Dhami received a warm welcome upon arrival at Gurukul Kangri helipad. He immediately proceeded to the CCR Tower for a high-level meeting focused on the 2025 Kumbh Mela preparations. The meeting addressed key logistical and infrastructural concerns.
Prioritizing Cleanliness, Health, and Sanitation-The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of cleanliness, public health, and sanitation facilities. He stressed the need for improved services and requested detailed reports on the current status of these critical areas. Ensuring a healthy and hygienic environment is paramount.
Security and Surveillance: A Top Priority-Security was a major topic of discussion. CM Dhami reviewed the functionality of CCTV cameras deployed across the ghats and pilgrimage routes. He issued instructions to enhance coverage and ensure optimal performance for comprehensive security monitoring.
Strict Guidelines for Vendors and Businesses-The Chief Minister made it clear that only licensed vendors would be permitted to operate along the Kumbh Mela routes. Unlicensed shops will be shut down to maintain order and prevent overcrowding. Strict enforcement is planned to ensure compliance.
Food Safety and Hygiene Regulations-CM Dhami stressed adherence to food safety regulations, warning of potential penalties up to ₹2 lakh for violations. Maintaining hygiene standards is crucial to prevent health issues among the vast number of pilgrims.
Preparing for 4 Crore Pilgrims-With an anticipated 4 crore pilgrims, the administration is on high alert. CM Dhami directed officials to maintain preparedness across all sectors – security, traffic management, health, and sanitation – to ensure a smooth and safe pilgrimage for everyone.
