Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai will welcome the Kanwariyas with flower shower on Shravan Monday in Bhoramdev

Raipur, 27 July 2025: On the third Monday of Shravan month, Baba Bhoramdev Dham located in Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh is once again going to become a living symbol of faith, devotion and Sanatan faith. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai will reach the Bhoramdev temple premises by helicopter on the third Monday of Sawan month and will give a grand welcome and felicitation to the devotees, devotees and Kanwariyas involved in the Kanwar Yatra in the morning by showering flowers. This is the second consecutive year that the Chief Minister himself is welcoming the devotees with flower showers – which is a proof of his affinity towards public sentiments and his commitment to faith. Along with Chief Minister Sai, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma and Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao will also be present on this auspicious occasion. This event reflects the Sanatan tradition, folk faith and respect of the Chhattisgarh government towards the devotees, which is an inspirational initiative towards preserving the cultural values of the state.
It is noteworthy that Bhoramdev temple has special religious significance in the month of Shravan. Being the third Monday, both the number of devotees and their faith will be at its peak. Thousands of Kanwariyas reach Bhoramdev Dham from other districts including Kabirdham, Bemetara, Khairagarh, Rajnandgaon, Baloda Bazar, Mungeli, Bilaspur of Chhattisgarh. Also, devotees reach Bhoramdev temple by walking with water from Amarkantak, the origin of Mother Narmada river, and perform Jalabhishek of Lord Bholenath.
On the initiative of Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, adequate arrangements like security, drinking water, health, food, night stay, parking, guidance and first aid have been made to welcome Kanwar pilgrims. The temple area has been completely transformed into a devotional form through electrical decoration, bhajan evening and cleanliness programs, so that the devotees get a divine spiritual experience. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, this tradition of respect and service to the devotees is constantly touching new heights. Welcoming the devotees by showering flowers is not just a symbolic act, but a proof of the feeling that the Chhattisgarh government stands firmly with religion, faith and culture, and gives top priority to the faith of the people. Bhoramdev Dham, also known as “Khajuraho of Chhattisgarh”, will become the center of a great confluence of faith on this holy Monday of Shravan. Due to the Kanwar Yatra and the presence of the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Ministers, this event will become a unique example of spiritual energy, administrative activism and social participation – which will be established as an inspiring tradition in the times to come.
