
Raipur, 11 March 2025: Spiritual guru and founder of The Art of Living Ravi Shankar paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today at the Chief Minister’s residence. During this, the Chief Minister wished happiness, prosperity and well-being of the people of the state and received the blessings of Ravi Shankar. Chief Minister Sai felicitated Ravi Shankar by presenting a photograph of the world’s largest natural Shivling – Madheshwar mountain located in Jashpur district and a replica of Nandi made in Bastar art style, as a symbol of Chhattisgarh’s spiritual and cultural heritage. Ravi Shankar informed Chief Minister Sai that this time he has brought with him the remains of the fragmented Shivling of the 1000-year-old Somnath temple. He informed that the remains of this historic Shivling were kept safe by an Agnihotri family for centuries. Now they are doing the holy work of taking it to devotees across the country for darshan. On this occasion, the dignitaries present including the Chief Minister had darshan of the fragmented Shivling and expressed faith.
As per the decision taken in the cabinet earlier, a discussion was also held between Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and Ravi Shankar regarding the MoU signed between Chhattisgarh Government and Vyakti Vikas Kendra India (The Art of Living). The objective of the MoU is related to various aspects of rural development including livelihood generation and overall welfare of rural Chhattisgarh, on which both the sides discussed for its effective implementation. Invitation to Shankhnaad Mahasatsang Ravi Shankar invited Chief Minister Sai to attend the ‘Shankhnaad Mahasatsang’ program organized at Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in the capital Raipur. The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to Ravi Shankar ji for this invitation. On this occasion, MLA Purandar Mishra, MLA Yogeshwar Raju Sinha, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary Dr. Basavaraju S., P. Dayanand, Rahul Bhagat, Public Relations Commissioner Ravi Mittal, Chief Minister Sai’s wife Smt. Kaushalya Devi Sai and other members of the family were present.
