Inauguration of four new women police stations, emphasis on further strengthening the police force

Raipur, March 10, 2025: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, while providing appointment letters to 840 selected candidates of the Sub Inspector cadre at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose State Police Academy, Chandkhuri, said that the government is constantly striving to increase the capacity and efficiency of the police force in the state. Chief Minister Sai said that the work of the police is not limited to only catching criminals, but it is also the great responsibility of the police department to ensure that an environment of security and trust is created in the society. He said that the work of the police force is also to promote peace, trust and cooperation among the people. Chief Minister Sai said that the state government is constantly working to make the functioning of the police department more effective in cyber security, women’s safety and Naxal-affected areas. The police force is being made more efficient and effective by incorporating technical resources.Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma appreciated the efforts made for empowerment of police force under the leadership of Chief Minister Sai. He said that uniform does not only mean rights but also the responsibility to serve and protect the society. He asked the newly appointed police officers to respect their uniform and always wear it with pride.

During the program, Chief Minister Sai inaugurated new Mahila Thanas in Jashpur, Raigarh, Jagdalpur and Dantewada. He said that through these police stations, women will be ensured a more secure environment and speedy justice. Chief Minister Sai said that the state government is considering new schemes to further strengthen the police force. Under these schemes, special attention will be given to technical upgradation, modern weapons and training programs. Director General of Police Arun Dev Gautam, while addressing the newly appointed officers, said that today is an important day in their lives, as it is the beginning of their journey in police service. He said that high morale and discipline are essential to become a strong police officer. Arang MLA Guru Khuswant Saheb, Additional Chief Secretary Home Manoj Pingua and senior officers of the police department were present on this occasion.
