Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai prayed to Lord Gautam Buddha and prayed for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the people of the state

Raipur, 01 June 2025: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh on Sunday prayed to Lord Gautam Buddha at Bhongapal in Kondagaon district on the occasion of Buddha Jayanti and wished for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the people of the state. During this, Buddhist monks from Bodh Gaya, Bhante Ashwajit Mahathera, Bhante Gyanvansh Thero, Bhante Sheelvansh Thero, Bhante Pramod and Bhante Dean Vietnam duly performed the worship amid the chanting of Buddham Sharanam Gachham Mantra. It is worth mentioning here that Bhongapal is a 6th century chaitya, where the statue of Lord Buddha is seated. It is a famous religious tourist destination. On this occasion, apart from the public representatives of the area including MLA Keshkal Neelkanth Tekam, Commissioner Bastar Doman Singh, IG Sundarraj P., Collector Nupur Rashi Panna, SP Y Akshay Kumar and other officials and a large number of followers of Buddhism were present.
