Announcement of Rs 23.90 crore for infrastructure development in Ambikapur city
Raipur 9 December 2024/Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of 1614 development and construction works costing Rs 536 crore 14 lakh in a program organized at PG College Ground, Ambikapur and said that this will accelerate the development of Surguja district. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced to give Rs 23.90 crore for infrastructure development in Ambikapur Municipal Corporation area. He also announced to develop Super Specialty Hospital Ambikapur on the lines of DKS Raipur and to rename University Engineering College as Government Engineering College. On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai launched the Chief Minister Annakosh Yojana with the objective of providing additional nutritional food to pregnant and lactating mothers of the special backward tribe Pahari Korwa community in Surguja district. This scheme has been started as a pilot project by the District Administration Surguja. This will help in reducing the maternal mortality rate and infant mortality rate in the Pahari Korwa community. Chief Minister Sai also released the career directory prepared by the District Administration. On this occasion, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, while paying obeisance to Maa Mahamaya, congratulated the people of the district for the development works and said that Ambikapur is included in the most beautiful and clean cities not only in Chhattisgarh but in the country. All this has been possible due to the contribution of the officers and employees of the Municipal Corporation, our Safai Mitras and Swachhata Didis. I would also like to give credit to the citizens of Ambikapur, with whose cooperation Ambikapur has remained clean and beautiful.
The Chief Minister further said that the public has trusted the guarantee of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Chhattisgarh government is completing one year on 13 December. In this short period of one year, the government has tried to complete the big works of Modi’s guarantee. In the last five years, houses of poor needy families, who were deprived of Prime Minister’s housing, are being approved and constructed. The government is purchasing 21 quintals of paddy per acre. The government is committed to give the price of paddy to the farmers at Rs 3100 per quintal. The Chief Minister said that more than 70 lakh mothers and sisters are being benefited through Mahtari Vandan Yojana. The remuneration for tendu leaves is now Rs 5500 per standard sack. More than 20 thousand devotees have got the privilege of visiting Ayodhya Dham and seeing Lord Shri Ram through shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yatra Yojana. We have worked to bring transparency in the PSC examination as promised. The CBI is investigating the corruption in the PSC recruitment process last year. Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sao also addressed the program and congratulated the people of Sarguja on the inauguration and Bhoomi Pujan of the development works of the district.
Chief Minister Mr. Vishnudev Sai visited the stalls of government departments set up there on this occasion. During this, he also distributed material and money to the beneficiaries benefited under various schemes of the government. On this occasion, the Chief Minister honored volunteer Mrs. Bani Mukherjee, Mitanin Mrs. Parimania Yadav, Anganwadi workers Mrs. Pramila Tirki and Mrs. Puro Bai, Swachhata Didi Mrs. Sunita Sarkheli, Mandal Coordinator of Lundra Mr. Raghunath Prasad, lecturer Mrs. Leena Thomas for their remarkable work.
