Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai elected unopposed as President of Chhattisgarh Olympic Association

 

A new executive committee was elected unopposed in the special general meeting of Chhattisgarh Olympic Association. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has been elected as the President of the Olympic Association. This was also announced in the presence of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. In the meeting, Election Officer Ashok Agarwal announced the unanimous selection of the President, General Secretary, Treasurer, 14 Vice Presidents, 10 Joint Secretaries and 16 Executive Members. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai was elected as the President, MP Brijmohan Agarwal and Vijay Baghel as the Vice Presidents, Minister and MLA Kedar Kashyap and senior journalist Dr. Himanshu Dwivedi, General Secretary Vikram Sisodia and Treasurer Sanjay Mishra were elected.

On being elected unopposed as the President, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai expressed his gratitude to the officials and members of the Olympic Association and congratulated the other elected officials. He said that we will take Chhattisgarh forward with the whole team spirit. There is a lot of potential and talent in the state. We had announced in the sports decoration ceremony that the players who win medals will be given 3 crores, 2 crores and 1 crores. Vice President Brijmohan Agarwal is senior, we will get the benefit of his experience.

Meanwhile, MP Brijmohan Agarwal, who was elected vice president, congratulated Chief Minister Sai on being elected unopposed and said that this election was conducted very peacefully. Giving cash prizes and rewarding teams has started during his tenure. Today there is a need to take those works forward. Today there is no lack of energy among the youth. Today there is a need to encourage the players, there is a need to build academies. Our sports association was formed in 9 days.

He said that Olympic India can happen. The national jamboree of scouts and guides will be held in Chhattisgarh. Along with this, the MP suggested that 10 joint secretaries and 12 executive members should together take responsibility of one district each. These are our big industries, which have adopted sports.
