Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai blessed the newly married couples at the mass marriage ceremony of the disabled.

Raipur 16 February 2025: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today blessed 31 Divyang couples at the Divyangjan mass marriage ceremony organized by All India Viklang Chetna Parishad. Wishing all the newly married couples a happy married life, he said that this event is an excellent example of social harmony and upliftment of Divyangjans. Chief Minister Sai said that Swami Vivekananda ji had said that service to man is service to Narayan. This event is also an excellent example of service to god-like Divyangjans. He praised the council for successfully conducting this event for the last several years and described it as an initiative to bring positive change in the society. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai described the mass marriage event of Divyangjans as an important step towards inclusiveness and equality in the society. Chief Minister Sai said that serving the Divyangjans is not only a social responsibility, but it is the greatest virtuous act. He said that this event not only symbolizes a new beginning for 31 newly married Divyangjans, but it also inspires the society to be sensitive and supportive towards the Divyangjans.
Chief Minister Sai said that the state government is running the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivaah Yojana, under which each couple is given assistance of Rs 50,000. If both husband and wife are Divyang, then under the Divyang Vivaah Protsahan Yojana, they are provided financial assistance of Rs one lakh. He said that the government is committed to the empowerment of the weaker sections of the society, especially the Divyangjans. Special emphasis on women empowerment Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, referring to the ambitious Mahtari Vandan Yojana of the state government on this occasion, said that about 70 lakh women of the state are being provided financial assistance of Rs 1,000 per month. So far, 12 installments of this scheme have been released, which has provided financial support to the mothers and sisters of the state. He said that daughters are the pillars of the society. They not only connect the family, but are also the carriers of values. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao Yojana has completed a decade, which has achieved unprecedented success in the empowerment of girls.
Mass marriage: An example of social harmony Chief Minister Sai said that mass marriages have now become a part of social tradition and this is increasing awareness in the society. He appreciated the contribution of various social organizations like Kanyakubj Brahmin Samaj, Marwari Yuva Manch, Senior Citizen Welfare Forum in this event and said that such events promote the spirit of unity and cooperation in the society. Service to humanity is the biggest religion Chief Minister Sai said that service to humanity is the biggest religion and it is a matter of good fortune to serve the disabled. He inspired all the voluntary organizations to organize such events that promote social harmony and congratulated the organizing committee for the grand and inspiring program.
Chief Minister’s blessings to the newly married couples Chief Minister Sai, while blessing all the newly married couples, said, “May your married life be happy, may you move forward with love and trust. I wish all the newly married couples all the best.” Special attraction: Cultural presentation by disabled children On this occasion, deaf and mute disabled children of ‘Kopalvani’ presented a cultural dance on Chhattisgarhi songs. Their talent mesmerized everyone. Chief Minister Sai and the guests present appreciated the art of the children and encouraged them. Chief Minister Sai appreciated the work of All India Handicapped Awareness Council and said that the government would continuously make efforts to promote rehabilitation, treatment and self-reliance of the disabled. On this occasion, National Executive President of the Council Dr. Vinay Pathak blessed the newly married couples and said that the council is continuously working towards empowerment of disabled people with public support.
