Raipur, 17 January 2025: Housing and Environment Minister  OP Choudhary has said that the government of Chief Minister  Vishnu Dev Sai in Chhattisgarh is following the policy of zero tolerance on corruption. Quality will be ensured in construction works and any kind of irregularity in administrative work will not be tolerated. In view of good governance, strict action is being taken on irregularities found in government works. Executive Engineer Shri C.K. Thakur and Assistant Engineer  Neeraj Thakur of Chhattisgarh Housing Board Jagdalpur have been suspended immediately after irregularities were found in the construction work.

On the instructions of Finance Minister  Choudhary, the Commissioner of Chhattisgarh Housing Board  Kundan Kumar has issued a suspension order of the Executive Engineer and Assistant Engineer and a notice to blacklist the contractor M/s NK Construction Durg associated with the construction work of the Housing Board of Jagdalpur. It is noteworthy that after receiving complaints regarding the construction work of GAD housing buildings in Bhairamgarh, Bhopalpattam and Usur (Awapalli) blocks of Bijapur district, an investigation was conducted at the headquarters level. Financial irregularities and delay in work were found in the investigation, after which a notice has been issued to cancel the registration of the contractor M/s NK Construction Durg. It was also revealed that the last payment of more money than the work was made to M/s NK Construction during the tenure of the previous government. The contractor was also paid for the work which was not done by him.
