Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai participated in ‘Jai Bhim Padyatra’ with the youth

Raipur 13 April 2025: The Constitution of India is a holy book for every citizen, which gives us the right to a dignified life. Our huge democracy stands on the strong foundation of the Constitution and Baba Saheb was the architect of this book. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said this while inaugurating the ‘Jai Bhim Padyatra’ from Telibandha pond in the capital Raipur today. The Chief Minister himself joined the youth in this padyatra and paid his respects to Baba Saheb by garlanding his statue located at Ambedkar Chowk at the last stop of the padyatra. During this, he read the Preamble of the Constitution with the youth and signed on the Preamble Wall, expressing loyalty and commitment towards the basic spirit of the Constitution. It is noteworthy that ‘Jai Bhim Padyatra’ was organized under the joint aegis of Chhattisgarh Government’s Sports and Youth Welfare Department and Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan. Baba Saheb’s farsightedness was described as the foundation of democracy. Chief Minister Sai said that after being born in Mau of Madhya Pradesh, Baba Saheb received higher education after difficult struggles and gave an inclusive and powerful constitution to a huge democracy like India. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to develop five major places related to Baba Saheb’s life as ‘Panchtirth’, so that the new generation can take inspiration from his thoughts. Along with this, by announcing Constitution Day, the message of dedication towards the Constitution has been given to the countrymen.
The role of youth is important in protecting democratic values. Sai said that due to Baba Saheb’s farsightedness, today a huge country like India is continuously enriching its democratic values, whereas other countries that got independence along with India could not carry democracy along. He called upon the youth to play an active role in protecting and strengthening the democratic values of India. Cabinet Minister Tankaram Verma said that the entire life of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar is inspirational for all of us. The constitution of the country was made under his leadership. Following his ideals and the path shown by him is the true tribute to him. Youths were honored During this, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai honored the youth who made special contributions to the society from the main stage. On this occasion, MLA Purandar Mishra, MLA Khuswant Saheb, MLA Anuj Sharma, MLA Motilal Sahu, Chairman of Youth Commission Vishwavijay Singh Tomar, Secretary of Sports and Youth Welfare Department Himshikhar Gupta, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Vishwadeep along with a large number of youth, school children and common people were present.
