Raipur 11 April 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today launched a new eco-friendly public transport service—e-auto service—in Nava Raipur. This service has been started in collaboration with Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Development Authority and Chhattisgarh State Rural Livelihood Mission “Bihan”. Chief Minister Sai said on this occasion that this is not just the launch of a transport service, but a strong effort of the state government towards promoting self-reliance and entrepreneurship of women.
The e-auto service will be operated by women self-help groups, which include a total of 40 women members from 15 village organizations of 3 clusters. This e-auto service will connect major places like residential areas, offices, railway station, airport and jungle safari within a radius of 130 km. This initiative under the ‘Lakhpati Didi Yojana’ will prove to be a big step towards self-reliance for 40 women. The monthly income of women will increase and they will become financially empowered. This service will emerge as a model in the field of local transport in the coming times, which will provide convenient, affordable and pollution-free transport facility to the residents of Nava Raipur. On this occasion, Housing and Environment Minister O. P. Choudhary, MLA Guru Khuswant Saheb, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary to Chief Minister P. Dayanand, Secretary of Industries Department Rajat Kumar, Secretary of Housing and Environment Department Ankit Anand, CEO of NRDA Saurabh Kumar and many senior officers and employees were present.
