Announcement to name the cowshed in the state as ‘Gau Dham’
Raipur 7 June 2025: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today attended the closing ceremony of Kabir Jayanti Mahotsav and Gau Gram Jan Jagran Yatra organized in Sonpairi village of Abhanpur development block. He wished Kabir Jayanti to the people present. On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai made announcements of Rs 20 lakh for Gurukul Bhawan, naming the cowshed in the state as ‘Gau Dham’ and construction of boundary wall in Sonpairi School. Along with this, Bhoomi Pujan was done for construction of community building, construction of drain from Bhutahi Para to Ashram and CC road construction work from Sonpairi to Khilora main road to Ashram. Chief Minister Sai said that our land of Chhattisgarh is blessed, where the words of Kabir Saheb ji have had a deep impact. Saint Kabir always preached kindness to living beings. Not only the followers of Kabirpanth have contributed to the creation of the culture of the state, but also those people whose lives have been deeply influenced by the pure words of Kabir Saheb Ji. He said that Kabir Saheb dedicated his entire life to public awakening. He constantly showed the right path to the society with his teachings. Kabir Ji used to talk about public awakening in his couplets and believed that life is very precious and it should be used meaningfully.
In his address, Chief Minister Sai described the humanitarian thoughts of Sant Kabir as relevant even in today’s time and emphasized on cow service and social unity. He congratulated the representatives of the cow shelters participating in the Gau Gram Janjagran Rally and said that this is a very meaningful effort. Sai said that land is being identified for the establishment of a cow sanctuary. On this occasion, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that Chhattisgarh is known as a leading state in the country in the field of rice production, steel, cement, aluminum and electricity and coal supply. Dr. Singh said that in the coming times, Chhattisgarh will be included among the leading states of the country under the leadership of Chief Minister Sai. Cabinet Minister O.P. Choudhary said that saints like Kabir and Tulsidas showed a new direction to the society. No matter how much progress we make economically, only the saint tradition can give direction and values to the society. Choudhary said that Kabir’s thoughts gave a new direction to the society and his thoughts are equally relevant even in today’s materialistic era. Kabirpanthi Jagatguru Asang Dev Ji highlighted the importance of Kabir Saheb’s sayings. Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu, Gauseva Commission Chairman Bisesar Patel, Abhanpur MLA Indrakumar Sahu, MLA Kiran Dev and other dignitaries were present in the function.
