Chief Minister honored Baiga, Gunia and Sirha, the protectors of tribal tradition

Baiga, Gunia, Sirha will get honorarium of Rs 5,000 each every year

Jagdalpur 18 November 2024: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai honored Baiga, Gunia and Sirha, the protectors of tribal tradition, by giving them shawl and coconut in a program organized at the Circuit House today. Chief Minister  Vishnudev Sai said that traditional tribal communities like Baiga, Gunia and Sirha will now be given honorarium of Rs 5,000 each every year. This initiative is an important step towards promoting the cultural traditions of tribal society along with their economic empowerment.

He said that the government is committed to the preservation and development of the culture and traditions of tribal society. Such decisions will prove helpful in making the tribal areas of Chhattisgarh self-reliant and increasing their pride. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai emphasized the importance of cherishing the traditions of the tribal community and making them partners in the development of the society. On this occasion, Forest Minister  Kedar Kashyap, MLA Jagdalpur Kiran Dev, former MLA Mahesh Gagda and local public representatives were present.
