Chief Minister Dr. Yadav signed the resolution letter of the campaign ‘Away from addiction is necessary’

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the ‘Nashe se doori hai jaroori’ campaign is not just a campaign, it is a strong effort of society and police participation towards saving the youth from drug addiction. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav signed the resolution letter at the Indian Forest Management Institute under the massive public awareness campaign “Nashe se doori hai jaroori” being run with the aim of making the state drug-free. It is noteworthy that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, this campaign is being run by the Narcotics Wing of the Police Headquarters in all the districts of the state from 15 to 30 July 2025. The objective of the campaign is to make adolescents and youth aware of the ill effects of drugs, keep them away from this addiction and to guide those who are already in the grip of drugs towards rehabilitation by providing proper counseling and support.
Voluntary organizations associated with the police’s de-addiction campaign- In the de-addiction campaign, police officers, city and village defense committees and all the wings of community policing in various districts of the state will together make school, college youth and common people aware to stay away from drugs. Voluntary organizations are also being associated with the state level mega campaign so that the public, especially the youth, become aware of how drugs are destroying their health and social prestige and hindering progress. This work of the police is very important for public awareness, because it is necessary to give information to the community about law, insecurity, wrong policies, so that the people of the state can live a better life in a drug and crime free environment.
Awareness, dialogue, cooperation and security is the basic mantra of the campaign- Various government departments, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), religious leaders, social workers, public representatives, people of all communities are participating enthusiastically in the community based public awareness campaign against drugs. Madhya Pradesh Police is going from street to street and communicating with the general public about how they can stay free from drugs and how the young generation can secure their future by staying away from drugs. This campaign will prove helpful in spreading public awareness through schools, colleges, public places and digital media. Awareness, communication, cooperation and security are the key mantras of the campaign.
