Chief Minister Dhami Launches Promo and Poster for the First Jaunsari Feature Film “Merai Gaon Ki Baat”

Uttarakhand: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the promo and poster for the first Jaunsari feature film, “Merai Gaon Ki Baat,” on Monday. During the event, he emphasized that the state government is fully committed to supporting the production and promotion of regional films to enhance local culture.

At the ceremony held at the Chief Minister’s residence, Dhami stated that this is the first Jaunsari feature film completed since the formation of the state. He highlighted that the film will provide an opportunity to explore and appreciate the rich culture, heritage, and traditions of Jaunsar. He encouraged the audience to watch the film, assuring them that the state government is dedicated to assisting in the production and promotion of films made in regional dialects. In line with this, the government has introduced a new film policy aimed at helping local people from all regions of Uttarakhand to thrive. Additionally, he congratulated actor Abhinav Chauhan, noting that his Garhwali film “Asgar” was also a huge success.

The Chief Minister mentioned that the government is developing a master plan for the Hanol Temple, which is set to become a major destination for pilgrims and tourists. He also presented a replica of the Hanol Temple to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Present at the event were several dignitaries, including Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, Padma Shri Premchand Sharma, Secretary H.C. Semwal, Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey, Additional Secretary Ranveer Singh Chauhan, Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari, Additional Secretary Atar Singh, lead actor Abhinav Chauhan, actress Priyanka, producer Ayush Goyal, presenter K.S. Chauhan, and many others. The film was conceptualized by K.S. Chauhan and directed by Anuj Joshi.
