Chhattisgarh will get 5 national awards for excellent work in National Urban Livelihood Mission

Raipur. Chhattisgarh will be awarded five national awards on July 18 in New Delhi for its excellent work in Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Urban Livelihood Mission. The State Urban Development Agency (SUDA) and four urban bodies of the state, Bilaspur, Raigarh, Champa and Bhatapara have been selected by the Government of India for the prestigious ‘SPARK-2023-24’ awards. These awards are being given for excellent work in empowering urban poor families in the state and increasing their livelihood opportunities. SUDA and the four urban bodies will be awarded at a function organized by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs at the India Habitat Center in New Delhi. Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal and Minister of State Tokhan Sahu will present these awards.

A total of 20-member team of officials and beneficiaries of SUDA, Bilaspur and Raigarh Municipal Corporations and Champa and Bhatapara Municipalities selected for the ‘SPARK-2023-24’ award by the Government of India will receive this award in New Delhi on behalf of Chhattisgarh. Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Arun Saw has congratulated the team of SUDA and the four urban bodies for this achievement which has made the state proud. He said that the effective implementation of the National Urban Livelihood Mission has brought significant improvement in the lives of the urban population in the state. Beneficiaries are being continuously benefited under the National Urban Livelihood Mission and Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana.
