Semiconductor, EV industry will get a boost

Establishment of Common Facility Center in Nava Raipur on the initiative of Chief Minister Sai
Raipur, 9 April 2025: The Chhattisgarh government led by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has taken another big step towards the industrial development of the state. A state-of-the-art Common Facility Center (CFC) is being established under the Greenfield Electronic Manufacturing Cluster in Sector-22 of Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. This center will prove to be highly beneficial for industries and startups working in the field of electronics. This Common Facility Center will become a center of technological innovation, industrial collaboration and employment generation. This project will be helpful in fulfilling the resolve of Chief Minister Sai towards making Chhattisgarh a technologically rich and self-reliant state. This project is being developed by Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Development Authority under the guidance of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, Housing and Environment Minister OP Choudhary. For this, assistance of Rs 75 crore has been received under the EMC 2.0 scheme by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of the Central Government. Its total cost is Rs 108.43 crore, in which the state government’s contribution will be Rs 33.43 crore.
Developed on 3.23 acres of land in Nava Raipur, this center is equipped with modern technologies like printed circuit board prototyping, 3D printing, EMC testing, environmental and reliability testing. This will provide technical support to industries engaged in the manufacture of products like semiconductors, LED lighting, solar charge controllers, electric vehicle (EV) equipment, automation solutions and SCADA panels. Chief Minister Sai says that our aim is not only to set up industries, but to connect the youth of Chhattisgarh with technical opportunities and make the state self-reliant. This Common Facility Center is a new opportunity for investors and it will prominently establish Chhattisgarh on the map of electronics manufacturing. This center is also very useful for small enterprises who want to check the quality of their products or are working on new designs. Startups will be able to test their products, create new prototypes and move rapidly towards production. This will increase employment opportunities in the state and provide necessary technical support to industries. Along with this, the incentives provided in the industrial policy of the state government will increase new investments in the state. This project will add a new chapter to the industrial progress of Chhattisgarh and will give Nava Raipur a new identity in the field of technology.
