Chhattisgarh Breaking News: Congress announces candidates for the post of Mayor, Deepti Pramod Dubey gets ticket from Raipur
Raipur: The State Congress Committee has released the list of candidates for the post of Mayor for the elections of 10 Municipal Corporations in Chhattisgarh. Deepti Pramod Dubey has been made the candidate from Raipur Municipal Corporation. Similarly, Malkit Singh Gindu from Jagdalpur, Dr. Vinay Jaiswal from Chirmiri, Ajay Tirkey of Scheduled Tribe category from Ambikapur, Janaki Katju of Scheduled Caste category from Raigarh, Usha Tiwari of General Women category from Korba, Pramod Nayak of OBC category from Bilaspur, Vijay Golchha of General category from Dhamtari, Premlata Poshan Sahu for OBC Women from Durg and Nikhil Dwivedi of General category from Rajnandgaon have been fielded. Apart from this, Congress has also announced candidates for Nagar Panchayat and Nagar Palika Parishad. This time the party has declared its candidates on 40 Nagar Palika and 102 Nagar Panchayat seats while maintaining a balance of new and experienced faces. The atmosphere regarding the election seems to be very interesting and competitive. 28 January 2025 is the last date for filing nominations, due to which the political hustle and bustle will intensify in the next two days.
