Raipur: Like every year for the last 58 years, this year also, there has been a tradition of celebrating Chetrichandr Mahotsav in Raipur on the occasion of Avtar Divas of Sindhi community’s Ishta Dev Bhagwan Jhulelal in Chaitra month. Dinesh Anand Atwani, spokesperson of Chetrichandr Mahotsav Samiti, Raipur, told about the meeting in detail, today on Sunday at 11 am, a Mahabaithak of all 70 Panchayats of Raipur was organized at Sant Kanwarram Dharamshala Lakhenagar Chowk. Like every year, this year also, to celebrate Chetrichandr Mahotsav under the banner of Chetrichandr Mahotsav Sindhi Samaj Raipur, the heads and panchs of all the invited Sindhi Panchayats of Raipur participated in this Mahabaithak. Vardani etc. were prominently present. The meeting was conducted by Chairman Amit Chimnani, Mukhi Manumal, Dr. Bhimandas Bajaj. Major decisions taken today: Each Panchayat will take out a tableau. The garbage generated during the Chetrichand Mahotsav procession on 30th March will be cleaned by 50 young volunteers of “Social Organization Badhte Kadam and Chhaparu Panchayat” on the lines of the last 9 years through tractors. The tableaus will mainly include tableaus based on freedom fighters of Sindhi society, tableau of Lord Jhulelal riding on a fish, Saint Sadhu Vaswani of Sindhi society, last Sindhi King Dahir Sen, tableaux drawing attention to the major situations of the country today, social evils and problems. This time the preparations for the Bhandara event will be done at Lakhenagar ground, like every year, this year also arrangements will be made for 15000 devotees. All the Mukhigan have requested the Sindhi community that they will increase the value of the procession by keeping their business establishments closed on 30th March.
