“Chardham Yatra 2025: Offline registration starts today, more than 22 lakh people have registered”

 Uttarakhand: The process of offline registration for Chardham Yatra 2025 has started from today. This time devotees have been given the facility to register offline for the journey, which is available in Haridwar, Rishikesh, Herbertpur and Vikasnagar. Registration counters have opened at these places from 7 am. So far, more than 22 lakh people have registered for the journey through online registration. This year about 60 percent of the registrations have been done online, while 40 percent of the registrations will be done at offline counters. 30 registration counters have been opened in Rishikesh, 20 in Haridwar, and 15 in Herbertpur and Vikasnagar, where devotees can register for their journey. Chardham Yatra is starting from 30 April, and on this day the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham will open on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. At the same time, the doors of Kedarnath Dham will open on May 2 and Badrinath Dham on May 4.

State Tourism, Religious Affairs and Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj informed that the state government has completed all the preparations for the Yatra. He said that there is tremendous enthusiasm among the devotees about the Yatra and so far more than 22 lakh devotees have registered, including more than 25 thousand foreign devotees from 185 countries. The minister also informed that 10 new motorcycles have been given to Uttarkashi Police to run the traffic smoothly on the Yatra routes, which will patrol the sensitive and narrow routes of the Yatra. Apart from this, strict instructions have been given to the officials to ensure that there is no problem in helicopter booking for the convenience of the passengers. Also, this year the facility of registration with Aadhar number has also been given for the Yatra. Apart from this, the process of online and offline registration, and registration with mobile app will also continue. Registration arrangements have been made in Haridwar, Rishikesh, Vikasnagar and Herbertpur.
