Char Dham Yatra became an obstacle in the election process, Panchayat elections in trouble

Uttarakhand: There is no concrete information yet about when the Panchayat elections will be held in Uttarakhand. The Chardham Yatra is about to begin and the ordinance regarding OBC reservation has still not been issued, due to which there is every possibility of delay in the elections. Imagine, the Dhami government had a meeting on April 15, but the ordinance for OBC reservation was not passed. There is a need to amend the Panchayat Act before the Panchayat elections, only then will the reservation be decided! Then it will be published, objections will come, they will be heard… all this process will take time. On top of that, the Chardham Yatra is also a big challenge. The Yatra is starting from April 30, and during that time the police and administration will be completely engaged in the Yatra. The tenure of the administrators working in the Panchayats is also ending on June 1. It is difficult to conduct elections before that. Government officials are claiming that preparations for the elections are underway, but the truth is that the elections are almost certain to be delayed. All this is like putting a brake on the Panchayat elections.
