Chairman Suryakant Rathod held a meeting in Zone 2, gave many instructions from street lights to hoardings

Raipur – Today, Chairman Suryakant Rathore of Municipal Corporation Raipur, in the presence of Municipal Corporation Zone Commissioner Dr. R.K. Dongre, held a review meeting of the works of officers and employees of all the departments of the zone in the presence of Municipal Corporation Zone Commissioner Dr. R.K. Dongre in the Chairman’s room of Municipal Corporation Zone 2 and gave many necessary instructions. Chairman Suryakant Rathore said that in the summer season, the street light timer should be reset according to the weather and turned on at 6.30 pm and off at 5 am every day, this will save one and a half hours of electricity consumption every day. The Chairman has given instructions to get the drains of all the main roads and all the big drains cleaned as per practical requirement by running a cleaning campaign using Pokelin machine or JCB machine or manual cleaning, to free the drains and sewers from encroachment, to ensure smooth water supply from drinking water tankers on priority in the ward areas suffering from drinking water crisis and where there is dependence only on bore. The Chairman has directed the Deputy Engineers of the Public Works Department to visit the site of development and construction works daily and ensure quality control in development works. The Chairman has directed the engineers of the Urban Investment Department to ensure that parking arrangements are made mandatory at the site while passing the map and where there is no parking, they should issue notice to such people and make parking arrangements. The Chairman has directed to run a campaign to remove illegal hoardings. Chairman Suryakant Rathod has directed to improve the cleanliness system by increasing the number of sanitation workers in the wards where there are less sanitation workers and to make the sanitation system efficient. The Chairman has directed the Zone 2 Zone Commissioner to increase the number of tanker drivers in the wards and put them on duty to ensure smooth supply of drinking water through tankers, so that smooth water supply can be ensured to the residents of all the wards in summer. Chairman Suryakant Rathore has given instructions to increase revenue collection in the interest of the Municipal Corporation, by making door-to-door contact, to ensure that the property tax is deposited from the taxpayers who have not paid it yet, by the last due date i.e. 30th April 2025, with top priority in all circumstances, as per the order of the Urban Administration and Development Department of the Chhattisgarh Government.
