Youth of Bastar are promoting child marriage free India campaign

Raipur. The youth of remote areas of Bastar are also actively participating in the Child Marriage Free India campaign and are taking steps to contribute towards eliminating social evils. Today in the capital Raipur, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai launched the Child Marriage Free Chhattisgarh Campaign, taking forward the Child Marriage Free India Campaign.

 

Youth working to stop child marriage in tribal dominated areas like Bastar were also present with signatures and posters. This team of youth of Bastar included Anita Netam and Pramila Baghel of Bakavand, Jyoti Som of Nakatisemra, Meenkunwar Kashyap from Baddevra, Ajay Maurya of Lamker and Chandrakumar Nag of Mandhota. He met the Chief Minister and gave information about the efforts and awareness campaigns being made to stop child marriage in Chhattisgarh.

 

These youth told that for the last three years their team has been running awareness campaigns against many social evils in Bastar region. Work is also being done for health awareness in Bastar. He said that through the campaign, success has been achieved in stopping up to 87 percent of child marriage cases. At the same time, 100 percent success is expected soon through the public welfare schemes and awareness campaigns of Vishnu Dev government.
