Janjgir-Champa. On the second day of Jajwalyadev Lok Mahotsav and Agritech Agricultural Fair 2024, famous Odissi dancer Dr. Purnashree Raut presented a religious worship song dedicated to God through Odissi dance. The audience got to see such a form of dance performed by Odissi dance artist Dr. Purnashree on the stage that everyone kept their eyes fixed on her every posture and expressions with curiosity. The Odissi dance with astonishing expressions enthralled the audience. The audience got immersed in the devotional atmosphere while watching the religious songs worshiping God.
Chhattisgarh’s famous singer Alka Chandrakar also created a stir with her singing at the Jajwalyadev Lok Mahotsav. Along with Jasgeet, he made the local people dance and clap by singing Chhattisgarhi songs like Dhol Baje Re, Nagada Baje Re…, Meeth-Meeth Laage Maya Ke Bani… etc. Mrs. Alka Chandrakar enthralled the audience with traditional songs of Chhattisgarh, Karma, Dadriya and Jas Geet. The audience could not control themselves on the songs of Smt. Alka Chandrakar and were seen getting up from their seats and dancing. Along with this, various presentations were given by local artists.
