In the presence of Tourism and Culture Minister Brijmohan Aggarwal, an MoU was signed between Chhattisgarh Tourism Board and IRCTC for running special trains and necessary arrangements under Shri Ramlala Darshan Scheme in the Assembly premises here today. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saav was specially present on this occasion.
The special train being run from Chhattisgarh to Ayodhya for Shri Ramlala Darshan Scheme will run every week. In this 12-coach train, about 850 devotees from Chhattisgarh will be able to go to Ayodhya at one time to have darshan of Shri Ramlala. The operation of this special train is starting from March 5.
Tourism and Culture Minister Brijmohan Aggarwal said in the program that our government under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai is working very fast to fulfill Modi’s guarantee. He said that under the Shri Ramlala Darshan Scheme, the devotees will get a complete package which will include arrangements for traveling from Chhattisgarh to Ayodhya, accommodation there, temple darshan, breakfast and food. He said that after the signing of the MOU, the operation of trains will start from March 5. Tour escort, security personnel and a team of doctors will also be present in this train. This MoU has been signed for 3 years which can also be extended by 2 years.
Tourism and Culture Minister Aggarwal said that all the district collectors will receive applications from the beneficiaries in the prescribed format and will scrutinize them and will prepare the list of passengers as per the district-wise fixed quota. The list will be sent to IRCTC and Chhattisgarh Tourism Board nodal agency. One escort for every 40 passengers will also be sent from each district. He also told that in the coming time, along with Ayodhya, arrangements will also be made to visit Lord Vishwanath in Kashi and pilgrimage places in Prayagraj through this train.
